* I have subscribed to The Perl Journal for the first time, now that it's PDF-only, and hence instant-gratification. (It may have been this way for a while, but I learned that a couple of the most recent issues had articles about Perl and Chemistry, and so.)
* I saw Vernor Vinge win a Hugo for the novella The Cookie Monster on Saturday. Wouldn't you know it, the full text is on Analog Magazine's website. Looking forward to sinking into it.
Most of the Hugo-nominated short fiction wsa available on line during Hugo voting time and most of it probably still is. Check out: http://noreascon.org/hugos/nominees.html
Vinge also has a story in a recent IEEE (IIRC) journal, which may also be available on line.
That's great; thanks! I recall Neil glowingly mentioning the fact that all the shorter works were online; he made it sound like it was a first, this year. (And yet none of the people in my party knew about it... argh! Oh well.)
