Second filling done

Blaaah. Doc gave me two needlefuls of the strong stuff right at the start, and my face slid off within minutes this time. The whole operation was over very quickly. My tongue feels like I'm slowly eating pop rocks, which is a little disturbing, but I'm not worried yet. Getting out of the chair, I tried to say "My tongue feels like pop rocks," and actually said "Muh tuh felleh pa ra," to which the doc said "I know" with sympathetic gravity. So I'm guessing it's a known effect, even if he was just humoring me.
Am eating a Dunkin's breakfast now even though I can barely taste it (and need to tilt my head to one side) because I intentionally fasted beforehand this time, avoiding even coffee, since the dental tech last week said that caffeine might make the anesthesia work more slowly. So I'm famished and cotton-headed and just can't wait three more hours!
