This is the first time I've really felt let down by dKos. Calling the elections a failure and a sham this early, before we have even an inkling of the results, smacks of knee-jerking. The logic seems to be that, since Bush & the neos started this chain of events, it's obviously supported by greed and lies and can result only in tragedy. I say: look, if that's the case, you'll have plenty of opportunity to show how it's true once the evidence surfaces, much as one can do with, uh, most of what the president and his friends have done. But please don't jump on this one on de facto reasoning, not after so many have surprised us (and you are surprised, aren't you?) with such courage under such strife.

Take a break. Watch what happens.

I just can't get used to people using images of other people for their icons. It's just strange.

I might make an exception for [livejournal.com profile] xymotik's Bigfoot [livejournal.com profile] prog because the image is so fuzzy, unfocused, and bizarre that it's hard to tell details... but ... in images that the face is clear, and isn't even the gender of the person making the post... I dunno.

According to his userpic page's captions, that's Jenna Bush, Spawn of Satan, given the "Hail Satan!" salute.

Besides, you were the one who took my "rawr" image. I dunno if other people get the joke, tho'.

I still haven't figured out what the "tiles" icon is supposed to mean, partially because I haven't thought about it much. They remind me of institutional restroom floors from the middle of the last century.

Ding! That's exactly what they are. Your fellow architectuphile James Lileks made the image a while ago, based on a photo he took of the tile pattern in a church's basement bathroom.
