The first recording session went pretty well. We originally thought that the latest version of GarageBand would read audio from two different USB mics, but this was not the case. Then [livejournal.com profile] mrmorse recalled that the microphone in an iSight is directional, and lo it did work fine, picking up our voices and almost no TV noise. Unfortunately, a strange whirring sound sometimes accompanies us, and I have no idea why yet. But, for zero-preparation just-figuring-things-out button-poking, it was all right.

I have a lot of editing ahead of me. I think it will be fun. At first.

We also finally watched that local card game show by that guy. Honestly funny in parts, but otherwise exactly what I expected. I do not begrudge its existence, nor I do consider it "competition" for our show. The two will have as much in common as NASCAR and Knight Rider.

Day trip to WTVL tomorrow, for another business meeting with [livejournal.com profile] daerr. Three hours each way but so worth it, if we're as productive as we were last time. Hope to come out of it with a killer executive summary, maybe even already sent out to them who'd want to read it.

Optimistic that I can wake up early enough. Guess I should already be asleep, huh.

I have a guess on the whirring noise. It may be picking up the sound of the hard drive on the Powerbook. Remember that we moved the mic from in front of the Powerbook to behind it, and the noise appeared on the later tracks.

The reason why I'm thinking about hard drive sounds is the one in my iBook is making scary noises.
