progDoes anyone know the status of LJ and flickr-style tags? I tried Googlin for it but I can't find anything, except for people on other websites agreeing that tags are an upcoming feature for Livejournal.
When tagging becomes available I will -- I kid you not -- embark on a project to go through all ~1,500 of my past LJ entries and lovingly hand-craft tags for each and every one. Without a doubt I will write something Perlish to assist with this endeavor. Tab completion and all that.
This sounds wanky but it really won't be... in fact, it will serve to de-wankerize four years of blogging by drawing all my posts together into named threads, making it more likely I will revisit yesterday's posts rather than just discarding them like used tissues.
Also, Tom Goes to the Mayor. Probably you'll hate it but I think it's one of the best things on TV right now.
