I hold the cert tape in my hand, hurrah. Between Saturday night and tonight, I'd say that it took only a day to edit, which isn't bad, considering. (This isn't counting the time it took to log, which is almost a day in itself, and that is bad. I think my future logging efforts will be much more efficient, though.)

The final product clocks in at just under 10 minutes. After a couple of test screenings, I added some voice-overs tonight in order to kludge some indication of flow into it, and also dropped in some title music. I'm reasonably happy with it, though it's still enh insofar as it doesn't really capture the flavor of what I have in mind for the whole show; it's just some guys playing a game. But as practice, and as my key to full SCAT access, it's just fine.

Dunno if I wanna go posting any URLs right now... maybe later, after it starts airing. I dunno. I kinda want to just put it behind me and start making better stuff. (Yes, it will be on TV, but as an unscheduled part of a time-filler tape, so.)

Also today: daerr (who, clean-shaven, suddenly looks far too much like Penn Jilette) in town. Talked about recent Volity list discussion and came up with an all-new, all-crazy idea like we usually do; no word yet on how anyone else feels about it. (I'm getting antsy and want to decide on something so I can finish the stuff I'm coding right now... but I want it done right, too.) Then we went to see Kung-Fu Hustle, which is some fine entertainment, though I didn't get why various guys had their asses hanging out of their pants.

I thought clean-shaven daerr looked a lot like Brent Spiner in the one very recent photo of him I've seen. It's really strange to see him sans facial hair: he started growing a beard just after I met him in 1996. And I seem to remember you started growing one shortly after I met you for the first time in 1998, or at least you had by the time you visited SF for Macworld in early 2000.

No, I started growing a beard in 1994. It just wasn't capable of filling out until I was in my early twenties.

I've thought about removing mine, since I haven't been clean-shaven since I was 18, but....nah, not now.

Actually my beard situation is weird; I've shaved it off and let it grow back twice now.

I really have no idea what I'm doing with it. But I like that I have the freedom to shave it off at all, let alone severally.
