progWarning: Going to get very little done this weekend, despite what I may have told various people. Forgot Ricky was coming for the weekend, so I'm in that entertainer/caretaker-mode until Sunday afternoon.
I'll have to make up for it in the sooner-later. Something tells me I have a stretch of free time coming up.
Ricky's doing very well, by the way. Against my expectations (but with my hopes) the Bangor relocation actually seems to be working out; his mood has been pretty good for a long time. I know this because he calls often, usually late at night when he's bored. (He doesn't have much to do all day besides farting around with his hobbies, usually by himself.) I don't mind talking if I'm not busy, especially since he's been a lot less opaque in his speech lately.
Apparently, the meds he's most recently on seem to have hit a sweet spot that no medication has managed in the nearly 20 years since his accident. They slow him down enough to let him think in a (more or less) straight line, but not so much that he becomes too logy to think at all. Tonight he said to me, "What took them so long?"
We're going to spend some time at Art Beat tomorrow, but of course our main goal is spending time at the MFA gardens, so we'll only get a taste of it. It's too bad I can't spare the time to make Sunday the MFA day instead, but I just have too much homework to do... eh well.
