Done with A Clash of Kings. One more and then I'll be caught up with y'all, right? Coz the fourth one still isn't purchasable yet?
No comments except that I was disappointed with no resolution to the cliffhanger between Cat and Jaime, with her asking for her sword. It was right after my getting to this bit that my paperpack got swiped, and I assumed that we'd see what happened next before the book ended, since there was still many chapters left. Yipes, wrong.
Well, let's think about it: the Lannisters don't seem to think that Jaime is dead, in the time that passes between then and the end of the book. So if she killed him, they hushed it up, which seems hard to do in the Martinverse. Eh, we'll see.
I kind of liked the Theon thread, dank as it was, just for the notion that we were following the adventures of the most inept evil warlord evar. It was almost comic. I could see Tarantino working with material like this, if he ever wanted to really get medieval (snort). Still, I kind of hope he died in the attack at the end. And I've read enough books to know that that's asking too much, yes.
