I'm going to be confused, anxious and upset until the first time The Enemy uses it to segue into his War is Peace message. Probably as part of his very first public mention of it. Then the usual focused slow-burning rage will continue as usual.

The brightest side I think I can hope for here is that it will touch off an angry, blame-seeking dialogue about global warming. Not very bright, really.

If it weren't for the Enemy, there'd be a National Guard in LA, too, you know to do, what, its job? Guarding the nation? Instead of in fscking Iraq?

I did a brief search for "National Guard," since I too had seen somewhere that there aren't many/any of them in Louisiana 'cause they're off in Iraq, but instead found this gem:

[The "God Hates Fags" Church] say God is punishing American soldiers for defending a country that harbors gays, and they brought their anti-gay message to the funerals Saturday of two Tennessee soldiers killed in Iraq.

Whoa.

Needless to say, they didn't get a warm reception.
