I'm going to be confused, anxious and upset until the first time The Enemy uses it to segue into his War is Peace message. Probably as part of his very first public mention of it. Then the usual focused slow-burning rage will continue as usual.

The brightest side I think I can hope for here is that it will touch off an angry, blame-seeking dialogue about global warming. Not very bright, really.

Do you think he will actually interrupt his precious vacation to mention it again? I _so_ want someone to ask him why the Louisana National Guard can't help out. Or why there's not enough money to deal with the aftermath.

As for the climate change issue - it would be nice, but everyone's going to be so caught up in the immediate human catastrophe that that boring topic - haven't we discussed it to death already? isn't there some new celebrity scandal to catch up on? - will just be ignored, for the most part.
