Let me note that few things make me more uncomfortable in conversation than people I don't know well making a self-deprecatory joke based on their own (perceived) ethnicity or lineage. I usually say "uh-huh" or something because laughing seems rude, even though not laughing does too.

Next time I swear I'll reply with Bwahaha, you said it! You greaseyaks sure are funny! or whatever.
