I was a fan of the once-universal "NO PASSING THROUGH" signs on the red line (variation: NO PASSING THROUGH). My current favorite is the large wall sign in the Central Square station saying ELEVATOR.
Ok, what does "el vato" mean? I've noticed it every morning for a month or two. My Spanish-English dictionary doesn't have it, which I assume means it's slang (not that I couldn't have figured that out already). Translate, por favor?
Part of our floor is now occupied by Fidelity, and as you're walking to the elevator lobby from my part of the building you see through our glass doors to just the "FIDEL" part of their big sign on the wall. Every time I see this I wonder what my Cuban officemate thinks about it.
