Eargh. Car got hauled for street cleaning again. Logically speaking, this is the second month in a row. (They don't haul over the winter months, so I was allowed to forget about it. The first haul occurred during my first month here. This morning was the first of several consecutive weekday mronings when the lousdpeaker on the cleany machine woke me up and I succeeded in recognizing it for what it was. I don't even know what day I was towed.)
This is really hideous. I can't fucking afford to randomly lose $150 right now, and yet here I go calling the DMV YA-time to find out what my license plate number is (sigh), so I can call the police and find out where my car is, and then head to an ATM, and then take a long walk.
I hate having a car. Hate hate hate hate. $350 a month for a mostly static junk room on wheels. I wish I could have ended that stupid lease a year ago.
Calmed down. Got car back. Car is actually useful from time to time. Apologized to housemate for acting (more) bizarrely (than usual) this morning.
Must stop using LJ for temper tantrums.

Date: 2002-04-08 08:54 am (UTC)I have to deal with this only one more month; the Somerville place has off-street parking, yay.
But thank you for your advice, which I probably will take next month. :)
