I can't decide if "All politics is local" is easier or harder to say when one lives as I do in EvoGayBortionachusetts the state that sits at the seat of The People's Republic of Awesome, and you watch it exert as much representational power as it can over the rest of the country, but it isn't enough, and all your friends get bummed out.

dude. so great.
this entry doesn't parse
I think you're expressing your dismay that the federal representives of Massachusetts, despite their best efforts, aren't able to rally more support in Congress for a progressive agenda.
If that's the case, I say: don't be so glum. The pendulum of politics never stops and, I suspect, it's swing back to the center again.

It's true
You might think that that wouldn't be much of a constituency, but you'd be wrong. Apparently.
Re: It's true
See, this is what shocks me... why haven't the Republicans tried courting us yet? We're obviously a strong constituency, we tend to vote as a bloc, we've got plenty of money to throw around (gay people + young people + dead people = MONEY!!!!)... I'm really surprised.
