Er, they left out the entire bit about contact with another sentience, and - most importantly, in my opinion - the line about "How terrible it must be to be all alone." Without that, the comment about it being "cruel" to just erase all records and not make contact with the meat doesn't really make sense.

Otherwise, I thought it was well done.
