No wii for mii

With renewed reason to obtain one, I made my first attempt at shopping for a Wii yesterday. Was in the neighborhood anyway so went into the Galleria and asked at EB Games (the creepy hard-sell guy wasn't there) and Sears about it. Both clerks I spoke with said that supply is better than it was a month ago, but really that's like saying that it's a larger value of zero now than then.

They're still not actually on shelves anywhere, and cannot be pre-ordered, though everyone nonetheless has beautiful displays of Wii games and controllers and stuff. I wonder who these are for, since the actual systems still exist only in legend and rumor as far as I'm concerned. I think of cargo cults.

Supposedly Circuit City and Best Buy (and possibly Target) will have Wiis this Sunday.

I often wonder how many stores buy stuff like that -- get em in -- then don't actually put them on the selves but instead sell them on eBay for inflated prices.

Don't give up. I have to wait a week, and wait in line for 3.5 hours just to get mine :D
