Mac Mini with Bootcamp?

I have enjoyed the performance of Windows on my MacIntel. Have contemplated adding a linux partition to the mix.

It was a painless process.

As soon as I nail down a final owed-tax number, I will budget a refurbed Intel Mac of one sort or another from the link you posted a while ago.

HIGHLY recommend using something like VMWare to test cross-platform stuff. It has the distinct advantage that you can easily revert to a fresh install of Windows/Linux any time you like and test upgrades and uninstalls on known configurations.

Plus running Linux in a window under Windows (and vice-versa) is mind-bogglingly cool.

Dots der plan. First I gotta get me one of those Intel chippies I hear so much about. (dood I haven't bought a computer containing an Intel-compatible CPU since like 1998.)

Oh my. If you feel bad about supporting Intel you could always go with an AMD processor, unless you're sticking with Apple.

I got nuthin against Intel. I didn't buy an Intel Mac before due to a combination of poverty and ambivalence, but both of these have changed lately.

I have an Athlon XP-1800 sitting unused next to my desk if you want to go the non-VM route.
