It was thundersnowing around noon. By the time I took my lunch walk it was sunny and the dampness on the ground suggested that maybe it had rained a little several hours ago. Now it is dark and thundersnowing again.

Fine with me.

we went for a walk when it got sunny and got caught in a round of thundersleet/something. It was coming down in fluffy pellets. Kind of pretty, but the wind was cold.

Coolest weather experience ever: caught in white-out conditions while skiing in a thunderstorm. Whenever there was lightening it was like being inside a flashbulb.

No kidding. In the <10 minute walk from our place to Harvard Square, I got smacked by one big thunderclap (awesome), a 15ish-degree temperature drop (tolerable), hail (kind of interesting) and driving, blowing snow (NOT OKAY).

I was right next to a big window when it suddenly went dark, and then I looked up to see sheets and sheets of snow blowing over the neighboring buildings, and blowing horizontally like it was going out of style. I wondered if we were in for a horrific blizzard . . . for about 10 minutes. What the hell?

Then we went out to a movie just moments after this evening's delightful little squall-and-black-ice festival kicked off. Feh.
