Could any of you locals use another TV? I need to get rid of my old one. It's an old-school deep-tube Philips 19" from 2003. Works great, but it's been sitting on my kitchen floor since I upgraded to HD in March.

If want it and can come pick it up sometime before July 31, say so now.

Sources inform me that you don't have a car. Just so we're on the same page: How are you planning on carting this away?

Arms?

Is it too heavy or something?

It's an old-style, cube-shaped, glass-based CRT set. It's not really something you can carry across town.

Then I suppose I can rent a zipcar for an hour.

Everyone I know, including myself, is trying to get rid of a tube TV.

Portland recently had bulky trash pickup day, and the volume of curbside tube TVs and tube CRTs was pretty impressive (even though they were on the "we won't collect" list.)
