Our kitty-cat has started peeing all over the back of the litterbox instead of onto the litter. She is very neat with burying her other business. This is a recent change of behavior. It's a bit gross for her humans, but she seems as happy as usual otherwise. Should we be concerned?

Female cats can "spray" too, usually as a stress, territorial, cranky cat sort of thing. A larger box or two boxes might help, or she might just be one of those cats, in which case you should just be happy that it's at least in the box. ;-p

Ada? Did you adopt Jared & Melissa's cat after the split or is this just a coincidence?

Nope, same kitty. Jared kept Ada for a while, but circumstances led him to seek an adopter. So she's been living with me since August.

I know a woman who had to put puppy pads on the back of her litter box because her cat was a high shooter. Some cats just shoot high, although I dunno what would cause her to do it randomly. Maybe she's been getting the new litter stuck to her hiney and has decided to shoot high to avoid that?
