Holy smokes, it's almost that time again.
Ninety-five intents. Bejebiz. If ten percent of them are any good, I'll be a happy boy. Of course, I'm hoping lots of them are good... everyone got depressed over the overall crappy quality of last year's comp, despite the fact that there were more games than ever (until this year, that is).
(OK, I'm looking at last year's list now. I played a lot of these games because I really wanted to be a judge, and I still failed to get around to it! I will try again this year. Anyway: I recall that I enjoyed "All Roads", "Heroes", "Fine Tuned" and "Elements". I can't understand why "Fine Tuned" got 19th place, actually. Well, OK: it had fatal bugs in it, apparently, but I failed to find any in the two hours the comp allots for playing each game before ranking it. I instead noted that it had a Nethack-like "My goodness, they thought of everything!" quality. I'll have to try it again sometime.)
Good thing I don't have any PROJECTS DUE OR ANYTHING.
