Aug. 21st, 2005 12:59 amDinking around my "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" DVD in order to grab some sound samples for the show. I bought the discs a year or two ago when I saw them on sale, but haven't watched them. I mean: why? It's a nice thing to own, maybe, but.
I'm discovering, however, that the movie's actually pretty funny. Um. No I mean, it's got all these bits besides all the famous parts you loved quoting when you were 19 (and maybe still do, in which case you should consider stopping (unless you are 19 or younger, in which case do carry on and keep the faith, by all means)), and they're all really good. It's kind of like "Office Space" in that there's about four scenes and three characters everyone remembers. But the rest of the movie? Actually petty good.
("Office Space", however, is mostly forgettable outside of the memorable stuff, as I recall. Ironically. (Most of the memorable stuff being all the things that were in the original Mike Judge cartoon.))
