Game stuff.
Mar. 22nd, 2004 10:27 amIt looks like I'm going to Origins this year. This is good; besides being Origins (and the first time I'll be in attendance while possessing disposable income... ah yes, ah yes), I'm looking forward to showing around Volity to folks there. I've been interested in doing this ever since someone not directly affiliated with the project mentioned it on one of the Looney Labs mailing lists... there's real interest. Quite exciting.
Yesterday's social experiment over Settlers went well. Four folks showed up and stayed for many happy hours of dice & drama, and I'm now quite confident that the Arbitrarium can comfortably host these sorts of gatherings, which is very good.
Amusing myself: at one point yesterday I thought, "OK, I have to clean my house now... I have just enough time to do so before people arrive!" And so I immediately went out furniture shopping. Er. However, for $20 I found two very nice (albeit old and scuffy) wooden chairs at the furniture store that's right down Elm Street from me. This allowed all my guests to actually sit, which is a feature. Unfortunately, they also got to experience my kitchen and bathroom at their most frank, which was unfortunate. And then there was the whole napkin debacle. Well, I'm learning. A fun time was had by all, anyway.
