Worth noting that the sunny side of spring arrived on a Saturday morning this year, and is staying through Sunday. This after several weekdays of nice rain. I can’t remember the last time the season came so well-timed... very nice.

I’ve spent most of the weekend so far sitting by an open window in my apartment, or at a booth in the Diesel, working on good things... Will announce when appropriate.

People are all chatty-bananas with the weather, in town. A man in a green car rolled down Elm Street, belting out the chorus of some happy new pop song: La la la laa-aa! La la la laa-aa! People he passed turned to one another: Was that guy singing? That guy was singin’ along! I thought I heard one person say “The Breakfast Song” but between iTunes and Google I cannot find any confirmation or disambiguation here, alas.

Then a car filled with distracted kiddos nigh ran over my toes at a red light. “Oh my god, you almost ran over that...” said a young man within, apparently unable to choose a word to describe the jmac properly, and who can blame him? “Aiee, I nearly died,” I told them, sleepily, as I sidestepped behind the car.

Hey, iTunes carries Tortoise’s entire discography (or so I think) now! And they have a new album. Nice.

Larry Wall's Apocalypse 12 is out, finally providing Revelations to the shape that objects will take in Perl6. Word on the street is that this is the last “big” Apocalypse, and actual language implementation should actually start to happen RSN. Boy, I hope so. It's been a long wait already, and I wish Larry good health and high spirits as he & the hacksters start making this stuff happen. Peep peep peep, I await with open beak & bulging eyes.

If I may pull a pull-quote:
You know what this means, don't you? This changes everything... )
