All righty
Nov. 6th, 2004 04:51 pmAbout to leave now. All's well with the fam. Dad has been looking and sounding stronger every day, and as a bonus has a friendly roommate at the rehab place who is full of hot tips about new hips, including what not to do; this is the poor guy's second visit, having fallen and smashed his first replacement.
Peter calls a lot with questions about his PS2. I think it's very likely that I'll get him a DSL line and a USB mic for Xmas, and get myself copies of the games he has. Until yesterday, I had forgotten how much fun we have playing these things together. Just like old times around the Sega Genesis, we have an enormous about of fun just fatfingering the controls and racking up errors (see polygon-Pedro catch a grounder, stand around doing nothing for a second, and then throw to home by accident).
Shadow is as cute as ever and seems to be more friendly to me, actually coming up to be petted. But maybe that's an effect of my staying a record-breaking (for her) entire week. Maybe she'll remember me next time I visit.
Looking forward to stopping at the Home Depot in Augusta, because I need to get some specialized halogen lamps for a project. O ho ho ho ho ho.
