I really like 1000 Years of Popcorn, a short film with lovely and creative low-budget animation, puppetry, and DV joy, even though it could use some editing around the middle. (As could we all, right?) Discovered through DTV, an interesting project to give us Mac people a TiVo-style view into the world of video podcasts.

So far everything else I've seen on "Some Pig" -- and, indeed, across all of DTV -- is kind of crap. (If often happy & energetic crap.) So I also downloaded their tool to publish one's own channels, as I'm more than happy to add to the pool myself. Plop.

Finished a rough draft of the show and showed it to a very smart person, who threw up on it. Well, threw up on about half of it. So, still not done, though I think I'm now down to exactly what I want content-wise, after "solving" the problem of the problematic SoC coverage by just halving its total screen-time.

This actually frees up enough space to let me restore coverage of a third game, which I was yesterday thinking I'd have to drop. Pretty cool. The show will be far from polished, but at least it will be better. I can't wait to show it to you.

That said, giving myself an outlying deadline of a week to turn this damn thing in to SCAT. That's a long time, but it's factoring in the fact that I want to go back to work on Volity stuff tomorrow.

If I succeed, I think I'll start planning on finishing one show every month. That is the minimum frequency for a SCAT series. (They will still pretend it's weekly and just show three or four reruns after every new show.)

Not going to sit here grinding at it until 6 a.m. Going to bed "early", in fact.

OK, I guess if you stand there and keep hitting the doorbell button I'll come out. (It was a wrong number.)
