I don't believe this

Volity.net is still down. CalPOP can't even be bothered to reinstall a system, 16 hours after saying they would, and three days into our downtime.

It's official: CalPOP sucks. Don't give these guys any business.

Update I just called, and the guy tried to get $75 out of me before he'd reinstall the system. I actually got a little angry at him, and he backed down. He's now saying an ETA of "40, 45 minutes." This is truly unbelievable.

Our machine is back, a tabula rasa, and we're uploading our last backup from Friday night. With luck we'll be back in business in a couple of hours.

I do believe this is the most violent backup-using activity I've ever been involved with. I'm happy that daerr was as insistent as he was about putting a backup system in place early, last month.
