Weird, ugly signs

New signs have popped up along Oxford Street, perhaps in other parts of Cambridge as well. They look like this:

TOW ZONE

NO PARKING

DURING

SNOW

EMERGENCY

I'm not sure how to read these. To my mind's ear, it's something like:

"Tow zone. NO PARKING!! (...during...) SNOOOOOWWWWW!!! Emergency."

At least it makes sense unlike the dreaded DO NOT STOP ENTER sign I've seen at a nearby bank.

It's like the meatspace equivalent of flashing ANSI. *shudder*
