Tag everything.

It strikes me that I like tags so much that i want to tag every file on my computers, and then just stop keeping them in separate directories. When I want to find files having to do with some thingy, I'd just browse that tag. And I'd have a separate tag browser application that also makes tag assignment easy.
Hmm. Hmm.
"Same with email" I almost say, except that I'm pretty sure I'd never go through the trouble to tag incoming mail. (There's a reason I have about 500 unread emails.) But now that I think of that more... I can see how that can be made viable, in a way.

Date: 2005-05-23 09:04 pm (UTC)The idea would be that each directory represents a tag. Directories would contain symlinks to files which have that tag.
