According to Flickr, kids around the world went to their proms dressed in duct tape. (Link will be stale after a few days. I don't know how to prevent this.)

Oh yeah, the "zendonut" photos on that page are of me and I think keimel fighting with duct tape-encrusted swords sometime in 2000.

In fact, kids around the world went to prom dressed in duct tape because Henkel, who make Duck Tape brand duct tape, offered a $5000 college scholarship for the best outfits. (There's a nice photo at the New York Times, though Googling for the winners' names will turn up a few other copies of it.
