Volity needs a new hosting provider.

Any of y'all have any hosting recommendations? It is time to run screaming from CalPOP, who has been rebooting us a lot lately, usually with no explanation. We got rebooted twice this past weekend.
daerr thinks the machine's ethernet card is failing, but we are pretty sure they are too incompetent or lazy to do anything with this information if we told them. When I call to say that the machine isn't pinging, and suggest they look at the card, their solution is to reboot and forget.
We looked into the Amazon thing, but it's too complicated for our needs right now. We just want a single, RAM-heavy computer somewhere that we can run a Debian server on.
No "friends and family" plans, please. We want to pay for this.

Date: 2006-10-10 05:10 pm (UTC)They are by far the best hosting company of the three I've dealt with. The only issue may have is they are Canadian, so if you want to ship them a server of your own you'll have to deal with cross-border nonsense.
