classicaljunkie and I went to Six Flags. It was weird and nobody had any fun. Basically, her approach to amusement parks is to ride the 500-foot coasters over and over until she can't walk anymore. Mine is to go on the baby rides with my eyes squeezed shut while I go FUCKFUCKSHITCOCKNONOAAAAAAAAAAA, and then sit for a while to recover. A basic incompatibility was thus discovered.

Date: 2007-06-05 11:09 pm (UTC)Every summer I think about taking my kids to Canada's Wonderland, which is our version a Six Flags type thing, and then I recover my senses and think about jabbing myself in the eye with a fork instead. It would be far cheaper and quite a bit less painful than repeatedly waiting in a hot, sweaty line for untold hours to take a brief excursion on a ride that at least one member of any party is guaranteed to hate.
