"Go see a movie"

OK, so what do you think I should see? In-theaters, rentable, thepiratebaydotcommable, whichever. Released last weekend or 90 years ago.

I agree that I should see Stardust, but I'm seeing that Friday, so something else.

I don't have any TV. (And my GF's TV is broken, right after I tivoed like 999 things on TCM, which is a damn shame.)

Even though I had a great game night last night and I have a fine book to read I'm going stir crazy. I need some fresh, colorful input of the sit-down-and-submerge variety.

wish i'd seen this post the other day. the HFA was showing the unbelievable truth last night and after hours tonight, both of which were very good. after hours is disturbing and hilarious, the unbelievable truth insightful, witty, and beautiful (in that late 1980s way) to watch. (it's also directed by the henry fool/fay grim guy, should that float your boat.) both of these are available on DVD, as are my other usual recs: i know where i'm going!, good-bye lenin!, il conformista, and boudu saved from drowning.
