A Simple Way To Go Faster Than Light That Does Not Work

I only now just figured out that the reason my Tivo has been mis-recording things for more than two weeks (I recorded two hours of The Weather Channel instead of the movie you recommended, modpixie) hasn't been the Tivo's fault at all... it's my channel lineup that's gone bonkers!! A little while ago I had SpikeTV where I should have had PBS, and now I have MSNBC in the same spot?! And The Daily Show has moved to the Fox News Channel, apparently.

The problem was strange and novel enough to move the RCN tech support person to not treat me like an idiot there solely to waste her time. So a technician is due to visit Thursday noonish.

Samurai Champloo is a guilty pleasure and the first TiVo season pass I've added in recent memory. WP isn't very clear on what the title means, but it sounds like it can translate to "Samurai Remix", which would make sense.

I really like ZipCar. It occurred to me today that I've spent two months driving around other peoples' cars, without speaking to a single person about it at any time; all of my transactions, from signup to making reservations to paying my bill, have been over the Web. That's really great.
