A far more dramatic change is the menu's look. It's still modeled after a giant-sized magnetic poetry set, but they've dropped the dirty-typewriter font for a clean, bold sans-serif face. It reminded me of nothing so much as Apple's recent font switch from their Garamondy thing of the 20-year legacy to the whateveritis they're using now. Not that I'm one to really get fussy about any of this stuff, mind.

Date: 2002-10-09 06:56 am (UTC)So, the "what kind of soup we have" thing, was, as usual, handwritten on paper (which is fine by me), behind the counter, potato spelled amusingly and deliberately as potatoe (only with three underlines instead the one I just showed you), but no "cup" "bowl" headings or prices.
I found that...irritating.
Oh, and the coffee tastes fine (at least the dark roast that I ordered).
