Volity.net is still down. After two days of our computer going down for reasons our hosting provider isn't sure about, followed by a series of technicians not having any idea what to do about it, I asked them to wipe the machine so we can restore from backup. I was told that they could have that done by tomorrow morning, after they do some other stuff for some other people.
daerr sez I was in my rights to demand it now, since two days of non-service was just unacceptable. I felt bad about not being mean enough. The problem with me is that whenever anyone throws me a bone, no matter how paltry, my instinct is to slink away quickly in a position of subservient gratitude.
Tomorrow morning I'll call and bother some more people. Until then our everything-server is still down. I feel about as productive as I did at Harvard. Fooey.
We'll probably switch providers after we're back online... we had some stupid billing problems earlier this month, and setup problems last month.
